sleeping

Skylar is a very light sleeper, but I managed to get one good picture of her. This is how she sleeps...

Every night, you can find one or both limbs hanging out through the bars, sometimes in odd positions. I wonder what she is going to do when we put her in a big girl bed.

Time for Christmas

And that means it is time for shopping lists again...I just do this to try to make it a bit easier for those of you trying to shop for her.

Here's some suggestions for Skylar that I know of that would "enhance" her little world.

A little Kitchen
Wal-Mart has this one for a great price! It doesn't have to be this one exactly...but she has played with this one lots and seems to like it the best. She likes one with LOTS of little cabinets and she already has the pots and food.

Cleaning Trolley

Step 2 push around buggy. Oh my gosh, she is in love with this thing and has been for a long time.

baby stroller

If Skylar is in a nursery, everyone working knows she will have the stroller the whole time. She's pretty obsessed.

Other random things are:
- chocolate fleece blanket. She loves fleece blankets and needs a good winter one for her bed.
- dolls.
- Books!!! We LOVE BOOKS! A gift certificate for books is great! She is really into them and would have a blast going to pick some out.

Thats all I can think of. I hope that helps.

Lots of love.

My little helper

Skylar is a great helper. She tried to help get herself dressed to go outside. I guess she thought she needed a hat.

This is also the day before we took the pacifier away. No more pictures with her mouth covered up. (You like the half painted wall behind her?) ha ha

My Southern Belle

Southern Belles are born, not made. We live in TN, but my husband is from the northwest and I am from...well...all over. Neither of us really has a southern accent at all. Maybe southern accents are something you are born with if you are "from" the south because my baby seems to have it. Particularly when she says "bye" and "dog". It doesnt get more southern than her. My dad would be proud that her "dog" comes out just like a true Georgian- "DAWWWG"!

Here's to bringing back the southern belles.

Happy Halloween

Well, she had a hard time saying trick or treat, but our baby went trick or treating for the first time. We got lots of pictures, and she had a great time. She was a little roaring bumble bee. Oh yes, I said roaring. She cant say bzzzzzzz well, so she did what she knows how to do- and something about being in a costume just made her want to roar.

She is quite an organizer, so picking up candy and putting it into her basket was the thrill of the night. Everyone thought she was so cute they gave her extra candy and took some pics of their own. And instead of saying thank you, so gave big high fives!
