Birthdays!!!
Skylar is turning 2 and she is so grown up these days...but, she still likes her little toys. Here are some ideas if you are searching for something to get her for her big day!
* She is into Littlest Pet shop. She has lots of animals, but nothing to put them in. She needs a little play house for them.
Something like this:

* Here is a challenge one if you are up for it. Skylar would love to have a remote control train or car track. (and if it has little people that go with it- even better). She doesnt need anything huge or really expensive...something like this: http://www.target.com/Fisher-Price-Geotrax-Go-Zoo/dp/B001IF2URC/sr=1-1/qid=1237081224/ref=sr_1_1/184-8883421-8489026?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&index=target&field-browse=1038620&rh=k%3Ageotrax&page=1

Except that is not remote...although, it does have remote stuff you can buy to go with it. There's the challenge.
* Anything megablox. She loves them and literally only has about 12 blox. ha.

* A little microphone that projects her voice. She LOVES singing into them (I cant imagine where she got that from). :)

* a few hot wheels- specifically hot wheels.
* A sand and water table. Like this: http://www.target.com/Sand-and-Water-Kingdom-Table/dp/B000065CRG/sr=1-1/qid=1237080427/ref=sr_1_1/184-8883421-8489026?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&index=target&field-browse=1038620&rh=k%3Asand%20and%20water%20table&page=1

* Anything that helps her learn letters. She loves learning, and I would like to keep that going.
* And, we are still trying to get this. She still loves it and steals it from all the neighbors. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3766523

Fear in the eye of a Cabbage Patch
Oh yes, these "babies" (as Skylar calls them) are sitting in timeout.
MY baby thinks she is the mommy, and after going through a "testing" phase today -including spankings and a timeout, she decided I could win the game. However, the rest of the day, her babies got the fire from their mommy- Mommy Skylar. She started pretending her cabbage patch dolls were in timeout, telling them no over and over, and wanting me to give them spankings (which I didn't do). Even when it was time to go play with her best friend, I dragged her away from the baby as she yelled down the hall -"no, no, no baby, no.

A long story
So, a few months ago, Skylar got RSV (A pretty bad, but not serious respiratory virus). It took a month to figure out what she had, so she was hacking a lung for a month! It was awful. We had lots of frustration and sleepless nights with me sitting up holding her while she tried to sleep.
That finally got better apparently, but she has pretty much not stopped coughing. I have taken her to the doctor multiple times since the RSV, and nothing. Now, they say maybe asthma. WHAT? Nobody in our family has asthma, she has never been around smoke. No pets. No harsh chemicals...nothing. Pure craziness.
With some helpful info. from a friend, I think I have figured it all out. RSV can weaken lungs for several weeks after it is gone. So...that lead to respiratory issues temporarily for her- I think. But, I am a bit frustrated because I feel like the doctors could have helped this not be so bad. So, now I am turning other ways- herbal meds., home remedies, food...anything ELSE I can do to help her besides go to the doctor. If anyone has advice, I am open. I just want my baby to stop coughing, get off the nighttime cough medicine, and be able to run again and play like normal.
